METRO’s 28th Centraide Campaign Reaches a Historic Milestone: $3.6 Million to Support Communities Across Quebec

Montréal, December 18, 2025 – METRO is proud to announce that its 28th annual campaign in support of Centraide has reached an exceptional milestone, raising a record amount of $3,633,430, an increase of nearly 10% compared to last year. This remarkable result is the outcome of an unprecedented collective effort: $1,435,257 from employees, $1,648,173 from customers, and $550,000 contributed by the company.

This success reflects the solidarity and exemplary commitment of our teams—whether working in our offices, distribution centres, food stores, or in pharmacies affiliated with our networks—as well as the generosity of our customers," said Eric La Flèche, President and Chief Executive Officer of METRO.

The funds raised will enable Centraide to support essential initiatives aimed at improving quality of life in our communities, including helping vulnerable youth succeed, creating affordable housing, and combating isolation and poverty throughout Quebec. For example, $3.6 million funds the annual operations of 25 organizations in Montreal, directly contributing to concrete actions on the ground.

METRO wishes to acknowledge the exceptional work of the Centraide committee and its many ambassadors, whose involvement was crucial in achieving this result, and warmly thanks its customers who played an essential role in this collective success.
